Buying the right tie-down straps at Metaltis: how?

When buying lashing straps, it is important that you choose the right strap that fits your application perfectly. At Metaltis we have straps for all kinds of applications: straps used as luggage belts, straps with hooks for trailers, vans, etc., and straps specifically for the agricultural sector, construction industry, etc. These are just a few examples of what lashing straps can be used for. When buying straps, it is also useful to have a strap winder. That way you can roll it up easily at all times.

Attaching a lashing strap

How a lashing strap is used depends on the model: there are one-part and two-part straps. The latter consist of a ratchet part and a tensioning part.

Step-by-step - How to use a strap:

Pass the tension part through the ratchet.
Position the strap so that it is around the load.
Make sure the ratchet is flat and guide the strap through the strap slot from bottom to top.
Pull the strap up through the slot.
Pull it back in the same direction until the strap is tight around the load.
Secure the strap by making an upward motion with the lever. This causes the spindle with the slot to make a rotating motion, causing the strap to wrap around the spindle. Secure the strap by ratcheting two to three times.
Push the lever back to a reclined position when the strap is maximally tightened until the locking plate engages. Ready to use!
